Selection & Storage

  • Choose those that are plump, free from surface wrinkles with intact skin, without any cuts or cracks or leaking juice, and firmly attached to a healthy-looking green stem. Lift up the whole bunch in the air and shake gently for loose berries.

  • Buy exactly ripened berries; green grapes should have a slight yellowish hue; red types should be mostly pinkish-red, while purple and blue-black types should be deep and rich in color.

  • Since the fruit tends to spoil early and ferment at room temperature, they should always be stored in the refrigerator. Loosely wrap washed grapes in a paper towel and place them in a zip pouch bag set at high relative humidity. This way, they will keep fresh in the refrigerator for several days

Varieties

Our growers are immensely passionate about the product they produce. They take great care to ensure the strictest coolchain management is maintained and also all export orders packed from CA rooms are packed straight out of the room. This help to ensure there is NO WASTED SHELF LIFE in our supply chain!

Crimson

Crimson is a light red, oval-shaped grape with a thick skin, firm crisp flesh and a sweet neutral juicy flavor. At its peak it is crisp and firm, and is popular with supermarkets due to its excellent storage capability. Crimson grapes mature towards the end of the season in a grape region, so will be the last from a growing area before the red grape switches to the next region.
